Bring your agent into your own space.

Connect an MCP-capable ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, or another compatible client. Ovelle asks you to approve access in the browser; you never paste a provider API key into Ovelle.

Codex

[mcp_servers.ovelle]
url = "https://ovelle.me/mcp"

default_tools_approval_mode = "writes"

Then run codex mcp login ovelle and approve the requested Ovelle access in the browser.

ChatGPT and Claude

Add the same URL as a remote MCP server or custom connector in a product surface that supports remote Streamable HTTP MCP, then complete Ovelle's OAuth consent screen.

Permission boundaries

Read is opt-inEntry content is available only for collections you explicitly allow that connected client to read.
Write does not imply readAn agent may add recoverable content without receiving existing private contents.
Backups stay outside MCPNo MCP tool can read or delete backups, restore data, delete entries, or make a release live.

Connecting MCP does not wake a provider model or import your complete provider chat history. The external agent must be active, scheduled by its provider, or asked to check Ovelle.
